Position Overview

The Laboratory Technician provides technical support and analytical services to the manufacturing process. The candidate that fills this role will be required to work rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing on product and manufacturing processes
  • Note trends and/or deviations from historical of data or specification.
  • Develop options to existing test methods and recommend ideas for alternative test methods. Suggest ideas for process improvement
  • Provide accurate and timely verification of test results comparing results to customer specifications
  • Maintain lab equipment. Evaluate existing maintenance schedules to improve equipment accuracy effectiveness and longevity
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications

  • Associate of Science in Chemistry of equivalent
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience in analytical services and laboratory testing procedures.
  • Ability to operate a variety of equipment such as a micrometer tensile tester resistivity meter spectrometer etc.
  • Requires attention to analytical procedures and the ability to organize work and deadlines.
