Job Description

Position: SchoolBased Occupational Therapist w/ Cross Country Education
Location: Arlington Heights IL
Pay Rate: $45 hourly/Benefits/401k
Dates of Assignment: Asap May 30 2025

Position Type: FullTime
License Requirement: IL License

Overview:
At Miner School we are dedicated to ensuring that all our students become contributing members of society. Our approach focuses on workbased learning experiences studentcentered Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) family involvement and individualized support services to foster educational and employment success.

We provide a comprehensive educational program for Early Childhood through Grade 8 students with diverse special needs including:

  • Cognitive disabilities
  • Multiple disabilities
  • Autism spectrum disorders
  • Behavioral disorders
  • Physical/health impairments
  • Communication disorders

Our teambased instructional model creates a structured nurturing and responsive environment tailored to address the needs of the whole child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team including speech and language pathologists psychologists social workers and physical therapists.
  • Utilize a tiered approach to service delivery to meet individual student needs.
  • Adapt and modify instruction to align with Common Core State Standards and address students transition vocational and life skills.
  • Contribute to a teambased model to foster students academic social and functional development.
  • Support students in their transition from school to community living and work opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Experience or interest in working with students with diverse special needs.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
