JOB TITLE: EHS Specialist SALARY: Negotiable; Commensurate with experience MINIMUM EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: - Undergraduate or Masters Degree insafety management environmental management or a physical science (Biology Chemistry Geology etc. is preferred. Experience in lieu of education may be considered.

- Preference for individuals with any of the following credentials: Certified Safety Specialist (CSP) Certified Environmental Auditor (CEA); Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA); Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM); Registered Environmental Manager (REM) RABQSA Lead AuditorISO 14001 and or 18001 or any other nationally recognized equivalent registrations.
- Experience providing facilitylevel EHS management (manufacturing healthcare warehousing government etc. is highly desired. Experience with business development and proposal generation a plus.

JOB DESCRIPTION: HGS Engineering is currently seeking an EHS professional to augment its EHS Teams private industry division. This fulltime position will serve as an active member of the team and to primarily provide EHS support to private sector clients throughout the South East. Ancillary duties could include EHS support to Federal Clients (generally around the nation). The position will require the candidate to have extensive knowledge on state and federal environmental regulations including OSHA RCRA CERCLA TSCA CAA CWA NPDES and EPCRA and how these regulations impact facilities. Additional knowledge of on Environmental Management System and Safety Management System development and maintenance may be necessary. Initially the primary focus of the EHSIV will assist the Private Sector EHS Manager in expanding service offerings to existing clients in the AL GA FL and TN area. As needed assistance may be required to support existing Federal Clients (which could be located around the nation). It is expected that the EHSIV will provide assistance with other compliance and consulting services such as SPCC Plan Preparation Air Emissions Inventories Phase I and II ESAs Permit Assistance Waste Determinations Safety and/or Environmental Routine Inspections Annual Training etc. The EHSIV must have excellent technical writing/editing abilities and will be expected to prepare reports as well QA/QC team member reports for content grammar formatting and flow. Other duties may include assisting corporate staff in preparing proposals and responses to solicitations. In this capacity a moderate amount of business development skills may need to be established. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
