Job Description
A. Duie Pyle is seeking an experienced fulltime CDLA Yard Jockey in North Haven CT. As a Dedicated Jockey you will be moving trucks from the yard to the building and back; maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions as needed.
Start Time: 6:00 PM Sunday through Thursday
Pay Rate: $27.00 per hour; OT after 45 hours

The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
- Moving trailers around the terminal to various locations
- Maneuvering the truck into loading and or unloading positions
- Visually inspecting trailers and or trucks before and after moving each
- Connecting tractors to trailers
- Assisting with the unloading and loading of freight as needed
- Maintaining documentation of each trailer moved throughout the assigned shift
To be qualified for this position you must possess the following:
- Class A CDL
- Minimum 1 year of recent CDLA experience van type trailer preferred
- Previous Jockey or Switcher experience (preferred)
- Currently hold or obtain a nonexcepted interstate DOT medical card
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- No more than three moving violations and or accidents within the last three years subject to review
- Ability to communicate effectively; must be able to read write and speak English
- Must be able to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance
