Job Description
Norco Inc. is currently offering a signing bonus of $1500.00 for this position. Details of the signing bonus can be discussed during the interview. (Applies to fulltime direct new hires only)
Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Industrial CDL Route Delivery Driver position. The Industrial CDL Route Delivery Driver delivers and exchanges full cylinders and liquid vessels for empty ones. Industrial CDL Route Delivery Driver also delivers freight to customers on a weekly route stop. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Loads and unloads freight and accurately fills out truck manifest
- Loads and unloads cylinders
- Accurately fills out gas invoices
- Delivers freight and gas cylinders to customers
- Take basic orders from customers when needed
- Greet customers in a professional and enthusiastic way
- Answer telephone calls promptly
- Demonstrate indepth knowledge of products. placement availability price and use
- Sell welding and safety products and services to customer
- Process customer orders and accurately input customer order into the computer
- Research products needed for customer special applications
- Follow up on customer orders not processed correctly and remedy situation
- Stock shelves when needed
- Generate sales quotes to customers
- Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary
Qualifications :
- No at fault accidents in the past 3 years
- Class A CDL w/HAZMAT endorsement
- Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (writing invoices picking up small cylinders rolling large cylinders pushing cylinder cart hand trucks steering truck etc.)
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry objects weighing over 100 lbs
- Ability to work safely around special hazards (i.e. mechanical operating lift gate and explosives haul and work around flammable gas and nonflammable gas)
- Basic understanding of which applications are used for different gases
- Knowledge of hauling hazardous material
- Ability to accurately enter data into computer
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic understanding of welding machines and related tools
