Job Description

Job Title: Outside Sales Manager
Department: Sales
Reports To: VP of Business Development
FLSA Status: Exempt
Location: Field Sales

Position Overview

The Outside Sales Manager will lead a highperforming sales team driving strategic growth strengthening dealer relationships and fostering a culture of accountability and development. This role is responsible for achieving sales targets managing a team of Key Account Managers (KAMs) and enhancing dealer satisfaction to ensure sustainable success.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Development

  • Recruit onboard and train Key Account Managers to ensure team readiness and effectiveness.
  • Motivate and coach the sales team to meet and exceed performance goals.
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement development plans for underperforming team members.
  • Foster collaboration within the sales team and across departments.

Sales Growth and Strategy

  • Drive territory growth by developing and executing effective sales strategies.
  • Achieve and exceed sales and profit goals ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales and other departments to support legacy account revenue growth.
  • Maintain and enforce adherence to sales processes and best practices including Salesforce usage.

Dealer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain longterm profitable relationships with Blue Chip dealers.
  • Monitor dealer satisfaction through regular feedback and scorecards addressing issues promptly.
  • Oversee dealer onboarding and engagement to drive participation in events and initiatives.
  • Provide handson support and strategic guidance for dealer inventory and event planning.

Operational Excellence

  • Track team and dealer performance using Salesforce and other tools ensuring data accuracy.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and align territory strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies safety standards and operational protocols.
  • Act as a liaison between the sales team and internal departments to address challenges efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience in sales.
  • 5 years of sales experience including 35 years in sales management.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage a remote team with 70 travel including overnight stays.

Physical and Work Conditions

  • Frequent travel to dealership facilities with exposure to various indoor and outdoor conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work extended hours when required.
  • Regular operation of motor vehicles and occasional work from a home office.
