The Environmental Charter School is seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team. If you are progressive minded and embody a cando spirit and work ethic ECS is the place for you!
WORKING AT THE ENVIRONMENTAL CHARTER SCHOOL
If you are comfortable with adventuring outside your comfort zone taking risks and being a lifelong learner while strongly valuing collaboration consider applying for a position today! ECS staff members are passionate talented and uncompromising with a mission to make sure our work space blooms and flourishes. Our staff choose to be a part of the ECS community and continually connect their work to the organizations vision to graduate actively engaged citizens driving thoughtful change in the world around them.
OUR PHILOSOPHY AND MISSION
As a member of the ECS family you will help grow global citizens who are equipped with skills that allow them to be flexible thinkers creative problem solvers and effective leaders. You will contribute to an innovative team that develops the whole child into systems thinkers wellrounded scholars who grapple with real life problems and understand their impact on the built natural and social environments around them. ECS educates for sustainability and by using environmental content and the UN Sustainable Development goals as a lens for instruction ECS provides students with a multidisciplinary outthedoor education rooted in realworld problems.

Catalyst: As a charter school we are innovators in public education. We are a passionate and progressive group of educators who work to develop individuals into global thinkers with diverse perspectives
Character: We are dedicated to making the world a better place socially and environmentally for future generations. We engage students in character development through educational experiences that evaluate the impact of individual choices and that are born from collective discussion and the investigation of diverse perspectives.
Collaboration: We value collaboration with our community and recognize the power of systems thinking. We believe that respectful transparent and reflective dialogue among our constituents (students families faculty neighbors and regional partners) is necessary for elevating educational experiences for all learners.
Commitment: We are a dedicated community of passionate leaders who are committed to defining ecological literacy in an educational setting. Our educational model endorses an interdisciplinary view of complex environmental systems.

Clearances current within one year of hire date will be required and include Arrest & Conviction Disclosure Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151 Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Clearance (Act 34 and FBI Criminal Background Check (Act 114. Commonwealth of PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release (Act 168 and Mandatory Reporter Training also will be required.
