Position:
The primary focus of an instructor will be to teach Snapology programs. Instructors are asked to promote creativity teamwork and problemsolving skills while educating students on STEM (Science Technology Engineering & Math) concepts. The majority of our programs incorporate the use of Lego bricks Duplo Kknex or similar materials. Programs are conducted for children ages 314 although not all instructors are required to teach all age groups. This role requires internal collaboration and communication with Snapology leadership as well as representing the Snapology organization to parents & children with a high degree of professionalism.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Instructor: Lead groups of up to 20 students through curriculumguided activities (an assistant is generally added to classes with 14 students)
- Assistant: Help Lead teacher by organizing materials classroom engagement and management
- Instructor: Follow all Snapology lesson plans and activities. Each class is fully prepared for each instructor no lesson plan creation needed! All materials lesson plans and training is provided.
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of Snapology
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the information to adjust teaching strategies
- Adequately prepare for each program by reading curriculum watching training videos and/or participating in facetoface training sessions to be held in person in Benbrook TX
- Ensure all materials are picked up taken to camps cleaned daily and audited and returned at the end of each camp.
- Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs
- Encourage students & parents to enroll students in future Snapology programs
- Participate in periodic Snapology training & staff meetings as required
Qualifications:
- Criminal and Child Clearances must be current can renew/receive upon hiring)
- 2 or more years of experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment
- Education degree or teaching experience recommended teachers pursuing a degree in education will also be considered for this position
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
Snapology School year program specifics:
Instructors/Assistants will be needed for our school year programs.
We will have after school programs Monday Thursday. The location will vary as we partner with different locations. The after school classes will be 12 hours in length. Class start times:
2:00; 3:00; 3:30; 4:00; 4:30
We will also have a daytime preschool class that meets twice a month on Tuesdays. The time for this class will be 9a2p.
We also have events and birthday parties 12 weekends each month.
We are a mobile program and travel to many different locations within the Southwest Fort Worth area.
- Lots of flexibility with hours and opportunity to select the best times that work for you each week.

- Promotional Events Anytime but mostly weekends
- Birthday parties (Anytime weekends)
- Teachers will be required to coordinate with the owner to arrange pick up/drop off of supplies before/after programs and camp weeks.
We are currently hiring for after school programs:

- Tuesdays 9:00a 2:00pm (twice a month)

- Wednesdays: 2:30p 6p
- Thursdays: 3p 6p

This position is parttime. Depending on schedule/availability instructors average 2 9 hours per week.
Compensation: Snapology Benbrook pays Instructors/Assistants on a flat rate per class/program. This position will be for both Instructor and Assistant depending on needs of the program we like to keep our studentteacher ratio at 12:1 so being willing to assist is a requirement for this position.
Flat Rate includes obtaining program materials reading lesson plans for programs arriving at least 15 min early and clean up:
- 1 hr: $30 Teacher $20 assistant teacher
- 2 hr: $50 Teacher $35 assistant teacher
- 3 hr: $65 Teacher $45 assistant teacher
- 4 hr: $80 Teacher $55 assistant teacher
Travel time will be added on to the scheduled class time.
Ex.. If the class is 1 hour but you travel 15 min to get to and from the location.. You would be paid a flat rate of $40 Instructor and $27.50 assistant.
