Position Description:The Director of Graduate and Online Admissions is the primary contact for prospective graduate students regarding educational opportunities and options admission other requirements and related admissions information. The Director will develop both domestic and international leads maintain accurate application data and collaborate with OC Deans marketing teams and various institutional departments to ensure a smooth admissions process. The Director reports to the Dean of the College of Outreach and Innovation. Primary Responsibilities:
- Strategically grow qualified application numbers for OCs graduate programs and other nontraditional programs. This will increase the flow of leads into the top of the admissions funnel.
- Identify and visit with prospective students getting them to apply for graduate and other nontraditional programs.
- Inform current marketing efforts and their effectiveness i.e. Capture social media ads etc and recommend marketing strategies.
- Determine markets that can feed OCs graduate programs and other continuing education programs.
- Be familiar with the requirements classes etc. of the above programs in order to direct your interest to degrees that best align with your interests and qualifications.
- Effectively capture leads for the above programs and convert them to applicants.
- Foster domestic and international leads with an emphasis on domestic outreach.
- Monitor and eliminate redundant applications.
- Coordinate with OC Deans and personnel.
- Track weekly historical records of leads and applications for each program.
- Meet regularly with Deans and other OC stakeholders in graduate and online programs to monitor goals and processes.
- Ensure data is uptodate and accurate for program and employee evaluations.
- Monitor and communicate with recruiters when updates occur in Slate.
- Management oversight and facilitation of pertinent marketing materials.
- Coordinate with internal and external marketing resources to plan and execute external marketing efforts for programs.
- Regularly review program web pages and marketing materials for accuracy and relevance.
- Manage general marketing budget for graduate programs.
- Liaison with Administration Business Office Undergraduate Admissions Information Technology Creative Services International Records Financial Services etc. as needed to ensure a smooth and cohesive flow of graduate and continuing education applications
Qualifications: - A bachelors degree is required.
- Recruiting experience: The ideal Director will be an individual who understands the OC context has deep OC institutional knowledge and has recruiting experience for multiple OC programs: undergraduate programs graduate programs workbased and special programs; inperson and online programs; domestic and international students.
- Perseverance and tenacity: The process of recruiting and converting graduate leads and continuing education leads to applicants is complex.
- Team player who sees the big picture: Graduate and continuing education personnel need knowledge about other OC programs and should refer prospective students to other programs that may be a better fit.
- Creative problemsolver: Creative thinking and proactive communication will be required.
