MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
Reporting to the Manager of Development and Communications in alignment with the agency mission and team goals this position provides strategic support for the marketing and public relations efforts of the agency.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Marketing Support
- Work with the Manager of Development and Communications to develop effective agency messaging.
- Develop and maintain all marketing collateral including brochures flyers banners signage displays letterhead business cards note cards and vehicle signage.
- Manage Waves booths at information fairs and events.
- Create and present monthly marketing reports to the Board of Directors Marketing and Development Committee.
- Coordinate content layout and schedule of the Annual Report and Marketing Department newsletters.
- Cultivate relationships with internal departments to ensure marketing presentation accurately reflects organization.
- Analyze marketing metrics and evaluate market trends for promotional/marketing campaigns.
Social Media and Website Management
- Develop and manage the social media plan which outlines the platforms their audiences our approach to messaging and Waves privacy and usage statement.
- Serve as a content manager for Waves website. This includes updating content on an asneeded basis and developing interactive content for the website (videos infographic etc..
- Develop weekly content calendars to track social media messaging across channels.
- Track monthtomonth social media metrics such as followers likes engagements etc.
- Maintain current media release forms for each service recipient.
Event Planning and
- Collaborate with the Manager of Development and Communications Relations on the planning and of agency fundraising events.
- Collaborate with teammates on marketing for all agency events including but not limited to: Annual Breakfast Fall Fundraising event and Kroger Community Rewards.
Podcast Coordination
- Work with the Manager of Development and Communications on content development for each season of the Waves of Awareness podcast.
- Coordinate the participants and draft an outline for the podcast each week that aligns with the mission and vision of the agency and maintain an open line of communication with the podcast production members.
- Serve as primary contact for podcast maintaining schedules and other records of guests and topics.
- Record and edit podcast content for public distribution including video and audio.
Volunteer Management
- Coordinate volunteer projects for all programs and maintain a database of volunteer information.
- Recruit train organize and supervise ongoing and onetime volunteer projects.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with local organizations to create volunteer opportunities for adult service recipients.
- Maintain volunteer statistics to be used for marketing fundraising and grant proposals.
Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Development and Communications.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing Public Relations Communication Studies or other related field and one to three years of experience with increasing responsibility directly related to marketing and public relations or equivalent combination of education experience and training
- Must be able to multitask to meet deadlines and work as part of a team.
- Must be comfortable with website content creation and IT tools compatible with the position.
- Must possess experience in video and audio editing.
- Must possess experience in media creation.
- Must possess outstanding organizational interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be able to work with discretion and autonomy.
- Excellent spelling grammar punctuation and content writing skills are required.
- Work experience within a nonprofit organization is preferred but not required.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Tennessee drivers license.
Pay Rate $20/hour
