What does being a Graduate mean for you

Outside of the technical development youll gain working within your team youll also join GHDs two year Graduate Development Program. The Graduate Program will connectyou peers across Australia New Zealand the broader Asia Pacific region and the Middle East.

We offer optional rotations in the second year of your program to help explore your career pathway a structured approach to promotions and salary reviews over your first two years and a culture that is friendly inclusive and not built on hierarchy.

Who are we looking for

Our Sydney Business is currently looking for a hardworking and passionateGraduate Electrical Engineerto join our growing Building Services team. Our team is closeknit and you will be an integral member supporting the team in delivering projects across a range of clients.

What will you do in the role

• Work closely with a range of engineers and designers on the production of deliverables.
• You will be expected to work across a range of electrical disciplines including power distribution low voltage electrical installations lighting design communication system network design and fire detection and alarm system to ensure integration and completeness of design production.
• Assist with the development of technical documents (reports and designs) related to a range of electrical projects.
• Assist with the management of projects through program quality and financial tools.
• Engage with the broader industry through organisations such as Engineers Australia.
• Be actively working toward RPEQ registration.

Were looking for individuals who:

• Have recently graduated or will graduate at the end of 2024 with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Are passionate about the consulting industry.
• Have strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Have a strong desire to learn and take on challenges.
• Any prior experience in an engineering environment will be highly regarded.

What does the rest of GHDs process look like

Once we receive your applicationit will be reviewed by one of our Talent Acquisition team members who manage each of our regions. If your application is shortlisted we will get in touch with youfor a Video Interview where youll get the chance to introduce yourself and make another positive impression on both our TA team and hiring managers.

If youre successful at our Video Interview stage and are invited for an interview our team will contact you via email text or phone to get that scheduled in. Interviews will either be face to face in our office or via MS Teams if virtual. Prior to our interview well also ask you to go through some online testing through one of our providers Saville.

If the interview goes well well be in contact to discuss an offer where well go through salary start date and our background checks.
