This position is committed to providing World Class Service for all Sandler Center events. The Event Security position is responsible for ensuring the safety and security for all events. Special security assignments may be available during nonevent days/nights. The security team is a provider of direct service to our guests and must always exhibit a professional and courteous demeanor.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $13 to $14.

EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline.

• Respond to requests for assistance from Sandler Center staff and visitors for a variety of security issues (fire medical emergencies etc.
• Performs all event and nonevent security duties as assigned
• Conducts building safety inspections (Normally preevent and post event safety checks)
• Admits building staff suppliers contractors visitors and guests to the facility according to established security procedures.
• Answers information requests from staff and guests during events or as needed.
• Protects Arena equipment materials and structures throughout the work schedule.
• Provides regular security functions within the performance hall and related areas prior to during and after all events.
• Responsible for clean neat appearance with complete Sandler Center Security Uniform.
• Receives records and returns all lost and found items according to established team procedures.
• When requested provide escorts of persons to and from locations within the Sandler Center facility
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director of Events Event Coordinator and Security Supervisor.

• Prior security experience preferred but not required.
• Able to work Sandler Center events as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language required
• Ability to work beyond traditional business hours including nights weekends and select holidays is required
• Must demonstrate strong attention to detail
• Must have earned or can earn valid CPR certification
• Must demonstrate a positive professional and customerfocused attitude
