Job Description

Job Description Summary
An instructor in this position teaches developmental mathematics courses for students in the mathematics department at AB Tech. The applicant possesses the knowledge and skills to teach and supervise students in the classroom.

Duties
Instruct all levels of developmental mathematics day and/or evening classes online formats or in traditional/hybrid formats with courses taught in 16week formats. Develop teaching materials and activities for each course. Responsibilities also include maintaining syllabi materials gradebook in Moodle and attendance census and final grades posted in Self Service. Abide by policies standards goals and objectives of the college and department. Participate in assessment planning implementation and evaluation activities to improve the instructional quality of the program.

Minimum Requirements
1. Bachelors in Math or Math Education; 2. Experience teaching or tutoring mathematics.

Preferred Qualifications
1. Demonstrated expertise in teaching or tutoring underprepared mathematics students. 2. Use of Learning Management System.
