Job Description

Role: Locum Oncology Pharmacy Clinical Technician
Banding: Band 5/6/7
Location: Maidstone
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Temporary 12 weeks)
Rate: 19 34 per hour (depending on experience and band)
Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week)

The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and experienced Oncology Pharmacy Clinical Technician to join our team for a 12week assignment. This role involves working within our aseptic unit ensuring the safe and effective preparation of oncology medications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

You will prepare and dispense oncology medications in an aseptic environment. You will ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines and protocols. You will collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide highquality patient care. You will maintain accurate records and documentation. You will participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience/Knowledge:
    • NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or Qualified Pharmacy Technician with relevant certification.
    • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a pharmacy technician.
    • Minimum of 2 years postregistration NHS hospital pharmacy experience.
    • Experience in oncology pharmacy and aseptic techniques.
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
    • Good organizational skills to manage workload and meet deadlines.
    • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
