Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a safety-conscious and reliable Hazardous Material Handler with machine maintenance experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely handling storing and transporting hazardous materials as well as performing routine maintenance on production equipment. Candidates must be comfortable working at heights and performing physical tasks such as climbing lifting stooping and crawling.
Key Responsibilities:

Safely handle and transport hazardous materials in compliance with OSHA EPA and company regulations

Perform inspections and routine maintenance on machinery and equipment

Respond to hazardous spills or emergencies following proper containment and cleanup procedures

Maintain accurate records of material handling and maintenance activities

Operate forklifts pallet jacks and other material handling equipment

Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times

Climb ladders work at elevated heights and perform tasks in tight or confined spaces

Lift heavy objects and perform physical labor as needed
Qualifications:
-
Previous experience handling hazardous materials (HAZWOPER certification a plus)

Basic mechanical and machine maintenance skills

Ability to read and follow safety procedures and technical manuals

Must be comfortable working at heights and in physically demanding environments

Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
-
High school diploma or equivalent required
Work Environment:
This position involves working both indoors and outdoors in areas where exposure to hazardous materials loud noises and varying temperatures may occur. PPE is required and provided.
