Job Description
EVENT DOORMAN/SECURITY:
We are looking for a reliable observant social respectful and professional person to join our team and help us create enjoyable experiences for every client who walks through our doors (help them with directions their coat stairs and the shuttle tell them the historyof the building (they always ask) etc. work with the dayofevent team helping with vendor load in/out clean up after guests snow removal).You are the first face our guests see when they arrive & the last face they see when theyleave. You are responsible for ensuring that everyone leaves with a smile and that theHaightspolicies and procedures arefollowed throughout the event.
Responsibilities:
Arrive 1 hour before your shift to walk the space & make sure everything isready for the event.
Welcome guests as they arrive to The Haight (help them with directionsparking etc).
Maintain the entrance & sidewalk of the venue clear of debris snow waterdirt etc.
Prevent losses and damages by reporting irregularities and policy violationsto the eventlead.
Search bags coolers or other belongings that are brought into the venue ifthere is a concern that they may contain outside alcohol.
Confiscate all outside alcohol and turn it over to the bartenders & or eventlead.
Call the police fire department and/or other necessary responders in casesof emergency such as fire unauthorized persons violence threats etc.
Monitor allvisitors patrons and employees to preserve order and protectproperty via our camera system
Monitor the perimeter of the venue and parking lots via our cameras to ensure the security ofthe venue and compliance with all policies.
Complete detailed incident reports for all notable incidents while on duty
Avoid physical force against clients guests vendors or other employees atall costs unless in selfdefense.
Help clients with personal belongings (gifts end of night load out etc.
Have the ability to verbally deescalate tense situations and possess thesense to call upon the proper authorities in the event of an escalated dispute.
