Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detailoriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role is essential in supporting the financial health of our company by ensuring accurate accounting records assisting with financial reporting and maintaining compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background experience with financial software and the ability to thrive in a fastpaced IT environment.

MUST BE WITHIN 30 MILES OF NEW ALBANY INDIANA

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage multiple accounting systems (QuickBooks Paylocity Payment Processing etc..
  • Enter and process client invoicing and balance accounts receivable and payables on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
  • Enter accounts payable invoices collect approvals and reconcile vendors.
  • Create and post journal entries.
  • Assist with other accounting projects and research requests.
  • Track bank deposits and manage deposit transfers.
  • Account for related party transactions Due to/from accounting
  • Assemble financial data for audits and internal review.
  • Monitor credit card charges payment discrepancies refunds returns and miscellaneous charges.
  • Prepare balance sheet profit and loss statement and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.
  • Prepare and create reporting as needed (i.e. systemgenerated reports such as Income Statement Balance Sheet) and use Excel to create reporting that is not systemgenerated
  • Work location(s)
    • New Albany IN.
    • Typical Office hours: MondayFriday 8:00am5:00pm Eastern Standard Time

REQUIREMENTS

  • 35 years experience with General Accounting (AP AR Bookkeeping Journal Entries Bank Reconciliations Payroll)
  • Experience with QuickBooks required
  • Attention to detail
  • Corporate accounting / general ledger experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite including intermediate to expert Excel skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal direction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
