Job Description

Job Title: Team Manager (Children)
Location: Wigan
Working Hours: Hybrid
Rate: 45 per hour

Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting a Team Manager to join a dedicated Duty & Assessment Team based in Wigan.

Responsibilities:

You will lead a team consisting of a Team Manager an Advanced Practitioner and 7 Social Workers. The team operates on a 5week duty cycle taking turns every 5th week to ensure all families needing intervention are supported and appropriately assessed using the Signs of Safety model to achieve excellent outcomes for children. You must have a caring and friendly nature putting children young people and their families at the heart of all you do. Significant knowledge and understanding of research innovation and good practice are essential. You should have experience and knowledge of working with children and families in CIN CP and Court proceedings as well as managing and leading a team to achieve effective outcomes and drive performance. Indepth knowledge of statutory and legislative frameworks that underpin effective care planning is required. Experience in a broad spectrum of services within social work with children and families either through direct experience or training is necessary. The ability to work as part of a team and alongside colleagues from other areas of Childrens services along with good time management skills to meet deadlines and manage conflicting demands is crucial.

What we are looking for in a Qualified Social Worker:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Hold a full UK license
  • Postqualified experience
  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
