  • 39 513 per annum (pro rata for part time)
  • 37 hours per week Flexible working options available
  • Fixed Term or Secondment for 12 months

The CYP (Children and Young People) Programmes team is currently seeking a talented and dedicated Project Officer to join their dynamic team. This role presents an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people across Suffolk.

We have identified a need to strengthen our programmes function with particular focus on:

  • managing and supporting various change programmes and service improvements
  • responding effectively to national reforms
  • specifically supporting the new Families First programme.

Your role and responsibilities

You will:

  • lead and support a portfolio of social care projects that enhance outcomes for vulnerable children and young people ensuring changes are positively received by service users and embedded into core service delivery
  • utilise data analysis research and evidencebased approaches to identify service improvement opportunities within childrens social care interpreting complex datasets to inform strategic planning
  • work collaboratively with stakeholders across Children and Young Peoples Services to develop solutions within aligned projects and programmes
  • maintain comprehensive project documentation including planning monitoring risk management and evaluation reports for governance while proactively communicating progress to all stakeholders
  • apply strong organisational and planning skills to manage competing priorities meet deadlines and deliver successful social care initiatives using appropriate project management techniques
  • provide line management and supervision as required while building and maintaining effective relationships with partners and professional groups to promote integrated service delivery that supports children young people and families.

  • a suitable professional qualification at graduate level or equivalent experience in a relevant area of work.
