Key Responsibilities:
- Principal contact for any work that is required and ensures constant communication with the requester.
- Communicates between all facets of a 24/7 manufacturing environment to schedule and prioritize all maintenance assignments.
- Craft labour estimates ensuring all resources and parts are available before work order is scheduled.
- Develop long & short range plans including complete job packages.
- Ensure proper followup and close out of every job.
- Develop & analyze KPI reports
- Documentation control and analysis as it pertains to food safety health & safety security and the environment.
- Work closely with department to establish PM programs and predictive PMs analysis of equipment history and repetitive failure analysis.
- Development/implementation and review of PM checklist/schedule
- Review and plan preventive and corrective maintenance requests
- Assistance in development & implementation of capital projects
- Estimate time and costs required for project executions
- Followup on Departments work order Maintenance Quality H&S Production etc. and validate planned timelines
- Bring technical support to the Maintenance teams to ensure optimization
- Create analyze and update the Oracle system
- Participate in continuous improvement project teams as required
- Identify and resolve problems recommending improvements in the planning process and ensure routine schedules
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by ensuring plant is in accordance with governing practices codes and regulations.
- Prioritize and schedule work backlogs by type and status
- Produce planned work schedules for Maintenance Supervisors
- Conduct followup to ensure satisfactory completion of required work
- Understand and practice all Health and Safety GMP and Food Safety policies and regulations
- Other Duties as assigned.
- Professional training or relevant post secondary education
- At least 35 years experience in a maintenance planning department
- Previous experience in a unionized food beverage or packaged goods industry is a definite asset
- Solid computer skills including MS Office (Excel Word Power Point and Outlook) exposure to Oracle systems is an asset.
- Ability to communicate and work with all relevant associates stakeholders and resources in a frequently changing and challenging environment
- Effective problemsolving skills and the ability to multitask
- Strong analytical skills and detailed oriented; strong organization skills with sound prioritizing abilities.
