Key Responsibilities:
Principal contact for any work that is required and ensures constant communication with the requester.
Communicates between all facets of a 24/7 manufacturing environment to schedule and prioritize all maintenance assignments.
Craft labour estimates ensuring all resources and parts are available before work order is scheduled.
Develop long & short range plans including complete job packages.
Ensure proper followup and close out of every job.
Develop & analyze KPI reports
Documentation control and analysis as it pertains to food safety health & safety security and the environment.
Work closely with department to establish PM programs and predictive PMs analysis of equipment history and repetitive failure analysis.
Development/implementation and review of PM checklist/schedule
Review and plan preventive and corrective maintenance requests
Assistance in development & implementation of capital projects
Estimate time and costs required for project executions
Followup on Departments work order Maintenance Quality H&S Production etc. and validate planned timelines
Bring technical support to the Maintenance teams to ensure optimization
Create analyze and update the Oracle system
Participate in continuous improvement project teams as required
Identify and resolve problems recommending improvements in the planning process and ensure routine schedules
Maintain safe and clean work environment by ensuring plant is in accordance with governing practices codes and regulations.
Prioritize and schedule work backlogs by type and status
Produce planned work schedules for Maintenance Supervisors
Conduct followup to ensure satisfactory completion of required work
Understand and practice all Health and Safety GMP and Food Safety policies and regulations
Other Duties as assigned.
Experience & Education:
Professional training or relevant post secondary education
At least 35 years experience in a maintenance planning department
Previous experience in a unionized food beverage or packaged goods industry is a definite asset
Solid computer skills including MS Office (Excel Word Power Point and Outlook) exposure to Oracle systems is an asset.
Ability to communicate and work with all relevant associates stakeholders and resources in a frequently changing and challenging environment
Effective problemsolving skills and the ability to multitask
Strong analytical skills and detailed oriented; strong organization skills with sound prioritizing abilities.
