The Role
You blend strategic thinking with a passion for delivering results while being passionate about contributing to our Institutional Wealth Management Solutions IWMS clients and internal business partners. As a member of the IWMS Product Delivery Excellence Strategy & Portfolio Management team you will collaborate with your team and business partners to help establish an engaging environment for evaluating prioritizing and reviewing product / platform enhancements that drive the IWMS business. You will partner with other associates to be consistent and clear about the business cases being brought forward for review be diligent about how the IWMS leaders move through decision making and strategic prioritization and be thorough in keeping leaders informed about the health of strategic programs that are underway. You will also be committed to maintaining and developing your own expertise and knowledge to ensure you bring the latest thinking to your role.
The breadth of this role requires a diverse skills including business analysis strategy program management and effective communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities will include reporting/analysis business planning & strategy development guidance to partners for consistency of discovery/business cases being brought forward for review participation in a structured approach to prioritization and leadership communication on the health of programs executing against the strategy. In addition traditional program management and development responsibilities such as business case development management of tasks/results to support the product/strategy and product support / administration.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
7 years of experience in product management & delivery of business capabilities using technology and software development.
Able to work with the key business partners to build deploy and lead all aspects of an organizational product roadmap that identifies new opportunities and successfully moves initiatives through the product review process.
Possess program and project management experience including strategy organizational design change management and business transformation is a plus.
Working understanding of Agile and the ways that products move through the product life cycle.
Capable of communicating with and influencing Fidelity leadership through relationshipbuilding and highquality presentations.
Collaborate with Domains Product Areas Readiness Teams and Leadership to influence and execute on the investment product roadmap. Activities will include items such as intake framework product lifecycle mapping developing of business cases and product roadmaps.
Have a working understanding of key business planning discussions (e.g. KPI and metric tracking multiyear planning process product roadmap creation etc..
Ability to develop executivelevel communications for internal updates effectively communicating complex ideas and providing recommendations when needed.
Be a selfstarter independently oriented and excited by the prospect of working on critical initiatives with the ability to handle a fastpaced environment with multiple priorities meet deadlines and consistently deliver business results.
Ability to understand sophisticated business problems synthesize information analyze data and develop practical solutions and recommendations.
Possess a strong business acumen to successfully navigate the organization build strong working relationships and credibility with key business partners and develop a strong professional network to help influence outcomes.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical implementation.
Work across the organization to facilitate prioritization planning and outcomes.
Comfortable taking constructive feedback and working independently and with ambiguity.
The Team
The Strategic Planning and Business Management teams primary function is to provide reporting and support to the IWMS Platform & Technology CIO and the business units delivery teams. We collaborate with our counterparts across the larger IWMS and FBOT organizations while working closely with many different Enterpriselevel portfolio management teams within enterprise technology and corporate planning.
