Senior Drafter Metal Cladding Decking & Roofing
Location: West of Toronto
Salary: $70000 $90000
Our client a wellestablished and CORcertified (IHSA) construction firm with decades of experience is seeking a Senior Drafter to join their team. Specializing in metal cladding metal deck metal roofing insulated metal panels (IMPs) and aluminum composite metals (ACMs) this firm delivers highquality solutions for commercial institutional and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed drawings and shop drawings for metal cladding decking and roofing systems using AutoCAD Bluebeam and Procore.
Collaborate with engineers architects and subconsultants to develop costeffective and constructible solutions.
Interpret and apply the Ontario Building Code (OBC) to ensure compliance in midtolargescale projects including universities and art centers.
Work closely with project managers and site supervisors to ensure accurate of designs onsite.
Conduct site visits to assess scope of work review site conditions and assist in problemsolving.
Coordinate with suppliers and fabricators to ensure accurate material specifications and shop drawings.
Utilize Revit for 3D modeling and visualization (strong asset).
Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 5 years of drafting experience focused on metal cladding metal roofing and engineered solutions.
A portfolio demonstating design excellence with elevations and lots of section details for IMPs and ACMs for college corporate offices or industrial projects from $3$30 million valuations
Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Bluebeam and Procore (Revit experience is a strong plus).
Degree in Architecture or an Architectural Technology Diploma from an accredited institution.
Proven experience in Ontario Building Code (OBC) applications for midtolarge projects.
Strong understanding of building science principles and engineered solutions.
Ability to read and interpret architectural structural and engineering drawings.
Experience coordinating with subconsultants and clients to meet project timelines and budgets.
Valid drivers license and personal vehicle for site visits.
