You will act as a responsible and effective team member and will assist in the overall clinical management of the Operating Theatre. As an ANUM you will be responsible for the provision of comprehensive patient care and supervision of care given by junior staff as well as deputising for and assists the Nursing Unit Manager.
These positions are available with our Main Theatre in Scrub Scout & Anaesthetic team.
The Position
Assists the Nursing Unit Manager in collection of audits statistics staff performance management and productivity analysis data.
Monitors staff levels against budget/target levels related to number of bed days occupancy and patient acuity. Adjusts staffing levels in consultation with the Unit Manager and/or Coordinator according to changes in levels.
Assists the Nursing Unit Manager in identifying resource needs and developing budgets and operational plans.
Discusses any concerns regarding patients and staff with Nursing Unit Manager/Coordinator grievances difficulties etc.
Responsible for assisting the Nurse Unit Manager in following issues pertaining to human resources within the department and will assume full responsibility in the absence of the Nurse Unit Manager.
Demonstrates knowledge of/and functions in accordance with legislation and common law affecting nursing practice and acknowledges accountability/responsibility for own actions.
You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and you will have minimum 3 years Surgical Scrub and/or Anaesthetic experience and show advanced practice knowledge specific to the specialty.
To succeed you will have delegation planning organisational and motivational skills be committed to ongoing education and selfdirected learning and effectively communicate and educate patients family and staff.

We can offer you
Salary: $107721 to $111330 per annum plus 11.5 superannuation
Permanent fulltime positions.
