Job Description
- High School Diploma or equivalent REQUIRED
- CMA Current Medical Assistant Certification REQUIRED
- One year of experience as a Medical Assistant PREFERRED
- ACLS or BCLS upon hire PREFERRED
- Delivers care to patients utilizing theCertified Medical AssistantProcess
- Conducts patient check out surgery scheduling and post operative calls as primary function of position
- Communicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician
- Provides for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights
- May work in the front office as needed
- May perform other duties as assigned by practice manager more senior staff or as requested by healthcare provider(s)
