Job Description

Advanced Volumetric Alliance (AVA) is a volumetric offsite building manufacturer that creates entire buildings in a factory environment.

We focus on multifamily senior and hospitality development sectors. AVA designs engineers and manufactures industryleading full volumetric modular units for the multifamily apartment and hospitality industries in the Upper Midwest in a 180000 ft2 stateoftheart facility in Albertville Minnesota.

Job Description:

The Industrial Engineering Intern will work on targeted projects that require operational observations data collection/analysis crossfunctional communication and problemsolving. The internship will include assignments on challenging and industryspecific projects and tasks that a traditional Industrial Engineer would support in a manufacturing environment. The Industrial Engineering Intern will provide support with the daytoday operation and projectbased assignments. The focus will be on continuous improvement and business optimization for operations. This position requires attention to detail analytical abilities and a creative mind to invent solutions to improve quality and internal processes related to information sharing data analysis etc.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Recommend methods for improving the utilization of personnel material and equipment
  2. Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine workflow processes staff requirements and production standards.
  3. Draft and design layout of equipment materials and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency using CAD.
  4. Evaluate material handling equipment requirements as needed.
  5. Conduct observations and time studies on the manufacturing floor to suggest improvements and create efficiencies.
  6. Other duties as assigned.
