Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation (BSWIR) is seeking a fulltime speech pathologist at our Frisco Main outpatient clinic. BSWIR Outpatient has an interdisciplinary team model working closely with physical therapy occupational therapy and neuropsychology. We are searching for candidates with experience in treating adult cognitivecommunication disorders and dysphagia especially related to treatment following head/neck cancer.
We work as part of the continuum of care striving to get patients back to their premorbid functioning. Adult outpatient therapy consists of diagnostics and treatment of stroke acquired brain injury dysphagia voice MS Parkinsons disease cancer dementia and other medical complexities in an interdisciplinary setting. Experience with LSVT or SPEAK OUT! and head/neck cancer is preferred.
Our outpatient speech therapy team includes many experienced clinicians with specialties in a variety of areas which serve as great mentors.
We offer a clinical ladder for advancement and companysupported professional development and CEUs and a student loan assistance program. We have a yearlong professional development program to clinicians new to the postacute rehabilitation part of the continuum.
Require at least 23 years of experience treating the adult medical population. A clinical fellow candidate with strong adult medical placements will be considered.
