Idaho Power located in vibrant Boise Idaho is looking for a Control Equipment Technician I or II to join our Power Supply team. Its an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. What does a Control Equipment Technician I or II do for us
The Control Equipment I Technician learns to integrate install configure commission maintain and calibrate a wide variety of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) equipment used by Idaho Power Company (IPC) for control and monitoring of its power systems. The Control Equipment Technician I assists the Technician II in the design installation and maintenance of the Load Serving Operations Data Centers as well as interface tools for Dispatch Control Centers. Works to provide SCADA solutions companywide as needed. Additionally the Control Equipment Technician II designs configures integrates installs commissions troubleshoots maintains and calibrates substation intelligent electronic equipment and provides a complete substationinformation annunciation for the control and monitoring of Idaho Power Companys (IPC) power systems.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position performs occasional kneeling crouching stooping/bending twisting and rarely crawling or lying at ground level to perform manual dexterity activities gripping and operation of hand tools. Sustained postures are maintained occasionally in awkward positions/tight spaces Lifting/carrying of up to 30 lbs. is performed as well as pushing/pulling 1015 lbs. force) in utilizing carts/hand carts. 80 of work activities are typically performed sitting at computer. Driving of up to 4.5 hours throughout the IPC territory is necessary. The above is a summary of the primary essential functions of the position.
