What will be your daily pursuit

Your daily pursuit is leading our amazing events team and creating the perfect event space and experience to give our guests memories that last a lifetime!

When does this adventure begin

This role is set to start ASAP!

What will you do in this job

  • Supervise and lead all events
  • Create event space layouts and execute full set up & takedown/cleaning
  • Manage all bar service duties: stocking ordering organization
  • Receive and direct beverage related orders
  • Create and review banquet event orders (BEO) and communicate ongoing changes with staff
  • Respond to guest questions requests or concerns quickly and professionally
  • Schedule and execute venue tours of the property
  • Help upsell Glacier Raft Company activities for the group
  • Assist with social media posting for all GPC venues
  • Places and organizes all beverage orders as well as prepping and stocking the bar per event
  • Manages lower pavilion bar liquor ordering menus training scheduling
  • Assist with Grouse Mountain Lodge (or other GPC venues) bookings when needed. This could be several days a week in the shoulder season or periodically as supply and demand warrants.
  • Assist with the Know with the flow programming and event setup/cleanup
  • Keeps record of potential safety and maintenance issues and communicates details to supervisor
  • Offers assistance to guests and teammates where needed
  • Be a utility player who can complete a variety of job duties

What skills and experience do you need for this job

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Previous Banquet/Events supervisory experience preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience in a high volume hotel/restaurant setting preferred
  • Serving/Bar experience required
  • Workethic and commitment to the team and guest is key.
  • Be willing and able to work solo or as part of a team
  • Be committed to Safety First and the highest quality of cleaning & sanitizing standards
  • Be organized with a great eye for detail
  • Be kind to others and always bring your best
  • Be a good communicator always suggesting ideas and solutions
  • Be helpful and friendly willing to go the extra mile
  • Be relaxed flexible and able to handle a few curve balls
  • Be ready to have fun!
