Description

The Department of Audiology and SpeechLanguage Pathology of the University of TN Health Science Center in Knoxville invites applications for a fulltime 12month nontenure track Clinical Instructor with an expected start date of January 1 2025. Rank and salary will be based on prior experience. Primary responsibilities include providing: 1 Clinical education/ supervision to graduate students 2 Direct evidencebased early intervention service to client and their families 3 Service to the department university and professional communities and 4 Participating in scholarship activities such as research presentations publications related to interprofessional education pediatrics autism and/or early intervention.



Responsibilities

Clinical education supervision of students in the occupational therapyprogram. Clinical education supervision of students in speech language pathology on interdisciplinary practices in collaboration withspeechlanguage pathologists.

Participating in research related to autism and/or early intervention training and supervision of students. Direct early intervention services to clients and their families.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • NBCOT certified occupational therapist who is licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Tennessee.
  • Have earned a minimum of an occupational therapy masters degree from an institution accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education.
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience

Preferred:

  • Minimum of two years of professional experience in occupational therapy specializing in autism and early intervention (Birth5 years).
  • Experience providing assessment and treatment services to children ages 15 with autism or related developmental disorders.
  • Experience with clinical supervision desired.
  • Prior experience in interprofessional education or practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
