Duties And Responsibilities
Develop plan implement facilitate and evaluate successful researchbased educational programs in Family and Consumer Sciences with emphases on cooking nutrition and food safety; health and wellness financial literacy; mental health; and healthy lifestyles. In partnership with the Ag Agent provide leadership for development planning facilitation and evaluation of the Rosebud/Treasure County 4H program to foster positive youth development and volunteer recruitment and engagement toward a successful 4H program. Plan implement and facilitate subject matter training for 4H/youth audiences consistent with FCS skills abilities and experiences. Collaborate with other youth organizations within the county to develop and expand 4H/youth skill development and leadership opportunities Collaborate with local Extension staff and stakeholder groups to conduct continuous needs assessments in Agriculture and 4H Youth Development to inform programming priorities in Roosevelt County. Embrace a team approach to planning developing and implementing the overall MSU Extension program in Rosebud and Treasure Counties. Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with peer Extension agents Extension specialists county commissioners and appropriate local individuals groups boards agencies and organizations to leverage educational programming in Rosebud and Treasure Counties.
