About our department or Division:
The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology at UMass Chan Medical School and the UMass Memorial Childrens Medical Center is recruiting for a faculty candidate with a focus on clinical care teaching and research and/or quality improvement. The ideal candidate will focus most of their effort on diabetes care and program development. The Division currently consists of four established faculty members 3 registered nurses diabetic educators dedicated pediatric dieticians and a social worker. Responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient clinical care outreach services to nearby areas teaching medical students pediatric residents and other post graduate students and research and/or quality improvement work.

UMass Chan Medical School is a thriving research institution with robust clinical and translational research programs as well as community and population health research. Faculty have access to core resources through the NIHfunded Center for Clinical and Translational Science as well as the Department of Quantitative Health Sciences.Current academic projects within the Division include improving diabetes care delivery including SDOH screening. The division of adult endocrinology and the Diabetes Center of Excellence have robust research programs with strengths in islet cell biology and humanized mouse models of type 1 diabetes that provide opportunities for collaboration.
Qualifications
Eligible individuals should have the following qualifications:
- Must hold a MD or DO degree and qualify for a Massachusetts license
- We are seeking applicants at the level of Assistant Professor or above
- Be board certified or board eligible
- Strong interest in clinical care and teaching
