About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated API Specialist to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for managing configuring and optimizing Axway API solutions to ensure seamless integration security and performance of APIs across various platforms.
It is essential that you have API gateways experience specifically Axway experience would be ideal but not essential. You will collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams to design and implement API strategies that align with business objectives and enhance service delivery.
In addition to your strong technical background you will have also had experience working with IT partners/vendors. This role will utilise both your technical knowhow and communications skills in order to ensure our partners are delivering what is required.

What youll do:
- Oversee the setup configuration and administration of Axway API management tools (Axway API Gateway Axway Amplify etc. to ensure seamless API integration and operations.
- Implement security policies and ensure robust access control authentication and authorization mechanisms for API environments. Stay up to date on best practices for API security.
- Continuously monitor and optimize the performance scalability and reliability of API platforms ensuring high availability and responsiveness.
- Work closely with developers architects and business analysts to integrate APIs with various internal and external systems applications and thirdparty services.
- Develop comprehensive API documentation guidelines and standards to ensure consistent use of API features. Promote and enforce best practices for API design and usage
- Provide support in diagnosing troubleshooting and resolving APIrelated issues including performance bottlenecks integration failures and security vulnerabilities.
What youll bring:
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in API management and integration (preferably with Axway solutions) and AWS
- Strong understanding of API management RESTful services and microservices architecture.
- Indepth knowledge of RESTful API concepts web services and API protocols (e.g. HTTP SOAP JSON XML)
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex API integration and performance issues
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong attention to detail good communication skills and a teamplayer with a flexible mindset
- Previous experience working with IT Partners and vendors would be beneficial
