Job Duties

About the Department:

Commonwealth ChalleNGe Youth Academys purpose is to intervene in the lives of 1618 year old teenagers by providing the values skills education and selfdiscipline needed to produce responsible productive citizens and to do so in a highly structured learning environment.

About the Position:

The incumbent of this position will assist in food preparation and serving students to ensure appropriate sanitation food handling and safety requirements are met;

This position requires evening and weekend flexibility as this is a residential program and students are on site 24 hours a day 7 days a week;

This is a parttime position and ineligible for State benefits.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to work evenings and weekends;

Knowledge of food preparation;

Experience in serving chilling and producing breakfast lunch dinner and this includes snacks;

Experience in cooking from scratch temperature experience measurements and health codes;

Ability to operate kitchen equipment;

Knowledge of proper sanitation methods;

Valid Drivers License required;

Health Card required.
