We have an immediate need for a fulltime nonexempt Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant supports the organizations growing Finance Team within the Operations department by managing the GIBLs financial data and compliance. The salary range for this position is $42000 $52000 annually. As a fulltime role the Staff Accountant is eligible to participate in the organizations benefits program.
POSITION OVERVIEW (What were looking for
As an integral member of the Finance team the Staff Accountants role is critical to the success of the organizations missionfocused programs empowering all girls to be Smart Strong and Bold. The organization has experienced positive growth over the last five years and envisions a pathway to serving even more girls in the next 24 years. The dedicated work of the Finance Team supports the organizations good nonprofit standing resource management and ability to expand programs. The Staff Accountant reports to the Finance Director and handles the organizations government funding contracts program fee collection and processing weekly journal entry and other financial functions to support the Finance Directors work and reporting. The Staff Accountant role is a hybrid position in which the incumbent will be expected to work inoffice at least three days per week.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES (What youll be achieving)
At a minimum the Staff Accountant will be responsible for successfully carrying out the following essential functions and duties:
Contract Billing
Accounting Functions
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (What youll bring along)
Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited institution of higher learning. Equivalent years of relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience: Minimum of two 2 years of experience in finance or accounting at any level.
