Compensation range:

$43.55 $58.79

Your rate of pay will be based on applicable experience

Shift: Days Shift length: 8 Hours
Days off: Fixed If fixed days off: Saturday & Sunday

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Manager of Inpatient Applications the primary role of the Supervisor is to provide daily direction to the inpatient Clinical Applications team. This position has oversight of all inpatient Epic applications including Optime Anesthesia Orders ClinDoc Stork Willow and ASAP. The Supervisor should have a complete working knowledge of the EPIC application and workflows for the department/clinics they support as well as a complete understanding of the build upgrade and release process. Supervisor will work closely with Manager of Inpatient Applications to accomplish goals set forth by the organization. They regularly meet with members of the IT team & Operations and are an advocate for the IT needs of the businesses whether its from an operational patient care or service standpoint. They will plan and prioritize the work of the Inpatient Application team to align with department or organizational goals. They will establish procedures and processes for daily performance monitoring and ensures proactive steps are taken to minimize potential issues that impact the organizations ability to complete its mission. They will provide administrative support for tracking and reporting open issues enhancements requests resource allocations and project status. They will coordinate Inpatient Application team projects through planning support documentation crosstraining analysis and project management skills. Additional responsibilities include the following: Develops and revises team procedures for coordinated and efficient workflow operations. Assist with priority setting of projects and participates in and conducts ongoing team and project team meetings. They will perform workflow analysis data collection and report issues associated with the EPIC software. They will build in the EPIC system and as part of this process they will understand and analyze the end user and business operation needs. Supervisor will be required to follow IT Change Control processes create support documentation following standard IT protocols and have working knowledge of HIPAA and other IT security and privacy best practices. The Supervisor is responsible for supporting a positive work environment motivating staff and fostering teamwork by providing guidance to the team. Supervisor reports project issues and staff performance issues to Manager. The Supervisor may be required to participate in an oncall rotation as determined by their Manager. To perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
Oneyear Information Services or related project management experience and bachelors degree in MIS Business Services or related healthcare field OR three years Information Services experience supporting software and/or system implementations.
Demonstrated competency with Epic programming.
Information systems experience including system installations/upgrades analysis & support of clinical or business information systems workflow development.

Desired:

Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
Working knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices

CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
Epic Certification in Inpatient Module (dept tracks)

Desired:
Project Management PMP certification

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must be able to apply logic to the analysis development and implementation of complex workflow and information system solutions and be able to successfully implement these solutions in assigned area. Organizational and multitasking skills are essential for working in a complex and varied work environment. Conflict management skills are necessary to resolve conflicts within and among departments and disciplines throughout the organization and with physicians. Change management skills are necessary to lead implementations that will result in significant changes to workflow process for associates physicians and physicians office staffs throughout the organization. Knowledge of operations and regulatory requirements pertaining to assigned areas of responsibility. Must have excellent written and communication skills. Must be able to organize in a complex and varied work environment that includes multiple complex projects interruptions different expectations and commitments among multiple hospital departments and physicians. Must have the ability to lead motivate delegate analyze information and handle problem resolutions in an effective manner. Must demonstrate professional judgment. Must possess excellent time management skills. Must comply with HIPAA Regulations and company confidentiality policies and procedures. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
