Job Description
We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Database Developer fluent in English to offer his/her services as an expert remotely. In the context of the first assignment the successful candidate will be integrated in the team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major clients IT team on site.
Your tasks
- Assist in designing high performance high availability database systems;
- Develop XML and SQL scriptbased procedures;
- Code the extract transform and load routines using PL/SQL and SQL Server Integration Services;
- Develop UNIX shell scripts and/or Windows batch files to facilitate in the extraction movement and loading of transactional data;
- Maintain and enhance existing Oraclebased UNICEF Data warehouse structures;
- Maintain SQL loader scripts uploading to the Oracle;
- Maintain product documentation production configuration and technical documentation including logical and physical database designs metadata and production procedures;
- Regularly monitor database performance and tune it as needed.
Requirements
- University degree in IT or relevant discipline combined with minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in IT;
- At least five years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL Programming;
- Experience in Data warehouse projects and requirements gathering;
- Experience in UNIX/LINUX shell scripting;
- Experience with integrating Oracle and Azure and SQL Server;
- Experience with creating database schemas and tablespaces;
- Excellent knowledge of Oracle internals and database tuning;
- Excellent knowledge of gap analysis and source to target mapping;
- Excellent command of the English language.
