Job Description
The successful candidates research should employ interdisciplinary approaches including biochemical cellular immunological bioengineering molecular biology and/or novel methodologies with an emphasis on large animal BSL 2 pathogens. We are seeking individuals with research programs to complement and expand expertise in the Department. The Department is nationally recognized for its strengths in immunology infectious disease general microbiology environmental microbiology microbial ecology molecular biology and microbial pathogenesis research. Expectations for this position include developing an externally funded research program teaching courses consistent with the candidates background mentoring undergraduate and graduate students participating in appropriate departmental and university service functions and collaborating with other faculty to enhance interdisciplinary research at MSU . Successful applicants are required to have a doctoral degree in a biomedical discipline postdoctoral experience and the potential to establish an independent competitive research program.
