Job Description
Job Summary:Dimmick Group Peterbilt and Luckys Truck & Trailer Sales is seeking a skilledDiesel Technicianto join our team in Utica NY. As a Diesel Tech youll play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing dieselpowered vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that our customers vehicles operate efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities:
- Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Conduct test drives evaluate components and diagnose issues using diagnostic tools and specialized equipment.
- Maintain repair and troubleshoot vehicle systems including engines transmissions electrical systems steering suspension brakes and air conditioning.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed about additional service needs.
- Provide accurate estimates for additional repairs.
- Execute warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of Diesel Technician experiencepreferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Blevel qualifications including diagnostic electrical and engine repair skills.
- Dexterity and excellent handeye coordination.
- Mechanical troubleshooting abilities and proficiency with electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Strong customer service skills and basic computer competency.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and improve.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
- Willingness to adapt to new technology repair procedures and specifications.
- Valid drivers license with a clean record.
