Position is currently advertised at 32 hours a week 9 months a year. Position has the ability to increase to 40 hours a week 9 months a year.
Physician position will work 45 days per week for 9 months (September to June) at the Student Health Center working with diverse students and staff to support health and wellness for Western Washington University students.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
80 Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illness and those elements of primary medical care that is reasonable within the constraints of the nature funding and calendar of operations of the Student Health Center.
Treatment and management of chronic disease.
Physical examinations for general health care and preparticipation occupational/travel/MVA.
Minor medical and surgical procedures.
Evaluation and plan of care for accidents and emergencies including stabilization prior to transfer to the emergency room.
Provide a holistic approach to patient care including providing patient education as appropriate and participating as requested by the director in the activities of the Prevention and Wellness Services.
Provide inservice and consultation for nurses and other staff in Counseling Health and Wellness Services as necessary to update their skills and perform their duties.
Coordination and followup of medical referrals in the community as necessary.
Participate in collaborative agreement with clinic Physician Assistants.
Provide services and conduct work assignments in a positive and inclusive manner that supports the inclusivity and equity objectives of the campus community.
Provides afterhours and intercession/break call coverage in rotation with other clinical providers.
20 Participate in health center committees and/or campus health initiatives as needed.
Attendance at staff meetings on a weekly basis during the academic year to discuss progress of health programs scheduling education programs and other relevant administrative concerns of the Student Health Center.
Maintain an appropriate personal continuing medical education program of relevance to assigned duties.
Engage in professional development opportunities that support the continued growth of cultural responsiveness and effectiveness in the areas of access inclusion diversity multicultural and crosscultural communication and other related topics.
Participate in peer review with other clinicians.
Provide medical consultation and participate in collaborative care for student with interdisciplinary team of advanced practice clinicians nurses behavioral health counselors and campus and community partners as needed.
Other duties as may be assigned by the health center director.

Hiring range is $103075 $118536 @80 9months); through longevity position tops at $133998.
Should the candidate be interested in a 100 9month appointment hiring range is $128843 $148170 with longevity topping at $167497.
