Job Summary
In this role you will perform day to day standard processes and procedures you will be a customer focused individual responsible for completing preventative maintenance as scheduled on injection molds using analytical and excellent trouble shooting skills along with a drive for continuous improvement. You will interpret part prints and/or mold prints to complete quality repairs to molds and secondary equipment perform polishing work operate tool room equipment surface grinders Bridgeport milling machines lathes cutter grinders and sinker EDM.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Modifies and/or constructs tools fixtures and mold components utilizing manual metal working machinery.
- Able to perform own machine setups with no supervision.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems with Hot Runner / Valve gated systems repair and rebuild.
- Understands form fit and function in mold construction.
- Performs closetolerance machining using detailed blueprints drawings and sketches.
- Uses precision measuring instruments in the fabrication of various metals and plastic tools and parts.
- Performs accurate layout of tolerance and angles required to complete assignments.
- Computes dimensions involving radii and compound angles.
- Conforms with and abides by all regulations policies work procedures instruction and all safety rules.
- Perform preventive maintenance of dies and molds to ensure the toolings are in good condition.
- Ensure proper shift handover by completion of document and records according to procedures and proper housekeeping of work areas in tool room.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on business need.
Additional Responsibilities
Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience Technical certificate in Precision Machining/Mechanical Engineering preferred
Work Experience
- 10 years of experience
Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Trade school classes are preferred.
- Welding skills (TIG/laser)
- Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
- Support and contribute in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target

- Must be able to work assigned shift(s) with overtime as required to complete assignments.
- Sitting and/or standing for extended periods
- Hearing ability should be sufficient to hear and react to audible alarms from distances up to 150 feet.
