This position will be based in Anderson South Carolina.
All about the role:
In this role you will be reporting to the Maintenance engineer for Electrolux Group. You will be based in Anderson SC and this role is onsite. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machinist/Toolmaker to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for the setup and operation of precision machines including CNC EDM Lathe Milling Machine Band Saw and Shear. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical thinking conceptual and organizational abilities along with excellent communication skills to collaborate with engineers production personnel and other team members.
What youll do:
Independently set up and operate precision machines under limited supervision including CNC EDM Lathe Milling Machine Band Saw and Shear.
Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to resolve machining or assembly problems.
Craft engineered prototype parts and precision tools such as jigs molds and dies.
Utilize computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines requiring a solid background in various technical and IT processes.
Support lean (EMS/EPS) plan and activities within the maintenance area.
Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and repair dies/molds.
Maintain continuous efforts to minimize s rework and control costs of expendables and products.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required bachelors degree preferred.
5 years of experience in a Machinist/Toolmaker role.
Proficient in Office Products (Excel Word PowerPoint).
Basic knowledge and experience of principles procedures work routines and skills in the related field of work.
