Construction Safety Professionals

CMI is seeking experienced Construction Safety Professionals to support general contractors (GCs) and subcontractors on targeted construction projects. These roles focus on implementing best safety practices ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and fostering a culture of continuous safety improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor train and educate staff on safety protocols.
  • Promote a positive and proactive safety culture.
  • Conduct site observations audits job safety analyses (JSAs) and permit processes.
  • Facilitate pretask planning and toolbox talks.
  • Lead sitespecific orientations and training sessions.
  • Attend and contribute to safety meetings.
  • Prepare reports and documentation as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5 years of construction safety oversight experience (Pharma/Life Sciences experience preferred).
  • Strong electrical background is helpful.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 Construction Safety Standards.
  • Excellent problemsolving communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education & Certifications:

  • OSHA 30 Construction Certification (completed within the last 5 years).
  • CHST certification highly preferred.
  • First Aid CPR and AED certification required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on rough terrain.
  • Ability to climb ladders stoop crawl and bend.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must pass a background check and potential drug screening.
  • Flexible work hours including overtime based on project needs.
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance.
