Job Description
Overview
Position Summary:
The Epic Analyst I is responsible for assisting in the implementation configuration and basic support of Epic applications across various modules such as Revenue Cycle Inpatient Ambulatory Procedural and Ancillary. This role collaborates with clinical and operational teams to learn business workflows troubleshoot basic issues and support enduser training.
Qualifications
Educational:
Bachelors degree in health informatics Information Systems Clinical Healthcare or a related field is preferred.
Epic Certification:
Certification in one or more Epic modules (e.g. EpicCare Ambulatory Willow Orders Epic Resolute Epic Inpatient Epic Ambulatory OpTime Radiant Beaker etc. required within 1 year of hire.
Other Requirements:
- Minimum one years experience in Information Technology including project management advanced support management or other similar experience required or two years clinical experience and/or relevant system experience in EHR systems is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Basic understanding of healthcare workflows and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with configure build and maintain Epic applications to align with business needs.
- Assist with system testing issue resolution and application troubleshooting.
- Optimize workflows to improve efficiency and user experience.
- Provide enduser support training and documentation.
- Assist with system demonstrations and training sessions for staff.
- Partner with clinical and operational teams to assess system needs and enhancements.
- Work closely with IT project managers and leadership to ensure successful system implementations.
- Monitor system performance ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Participate in system upgrades testing and change management processes.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA and Meaningful Use requirements.
- Generate and analyze reports to provide insights into system usage and performance.
- Contribute to Epicrelated projects ensuring timely delivery.
- Identify opportunities for workflow improvements and implement best practices.
