Overview of the Role

As IT Manager PMOLearning & Performance Support at Saputo you are part of the team responsible for enabling change for largescale complex enterprise systems implementations and smaller IT initiatives which impact end users in Australia Argentina Canada USA and the United Kingdom.

Learning & Performance Support is an essential ingredient in our integrated change management approach. You and your team of internal and external resources contribute to our success by planning developing and executing learning experiences preGo Live and in support of end user competency and sustained performance over the long term.

How You Will Make Contributions That Matter

Reporting to the IT Director PMO Change Management & Communications you set the tone for IT Learning and Performance Support globally. Your work includes:

  • Understanding the complex dynamic and fastpaced nature of defining and managing learning deliverables and activities for concurrent IT projects and/or largescale ERP implementations
  • Building strong relationships with the change management team crossfunctional project teams and divisional and global business teams as part of the recipe for delivering successful outcomes
  • Creating and/or guiding your team to create innovative engaging and relevant learning deliverables in support of enhancing the learner experience
  • Coordinating and managing all stages of instructional design development and delivery including learning needs analysis strategy development curriculum and learning path design content development approvals workflows translation delivery support KPI reporting enduser performance support and ongoing learning materials maintenance
  • Evaluating and adjusting learning plans and deliverables to support enduser go live and sustainment learning requirements in alignment with solution build and realizing intended business benefits
  • Overseeing learning logistics coordination for programs/projects
  • Overseeing learning infrastructure readiness to support deliverables development and performance
  • Contributing to annual and ad hoc project planning by providing detailed estimation of effort/development ratios internal/external resourcing forecast development tool translation costs learning environment and budget requirements during project planning
  • Acting as the point of contact for learning requests feedback and suggestions. Escalating risks/ issues and providing mitigation options in a timely manner
  • Establishing learning metrics tracking and providing timely reports on deliverables status participation rates learning evaluation results and sustainment competency/performance. Establishing reciprocal feedback loops and other mechanisms to provide inputs for performance support
  • Establishing and monitoring quality standards in collaboration with the Director and IT leadership
  • Refining the Saputo IT Learning and Development Strategy as part of continuous improvement and aligning with leading practice including approach tools and processes
  • Devising 3year strategic roadmap for IT Learning & Performance Support. Actively driving the evolution of the change management department by contributing ideas and making improvement suggestions
  • Developing annual budget forecast
  • Collaborating with the Director Change Management and Communications and the Manager Change Management to maintain a holistic approach to team and deliverables management
  • Leading and inspiring your team using coaching and collaboration to enable mutual respect open communication and high performance.
  • Managing team dynamics building unity and maintaining a respectful work environment. Modelling the Saputo values and demonstrating respect for your colleagues in all your formal and informal interactions
  • Managing individual performance establishing and monitoring annual goals and providing meaningful feedback and direction regularly.
  • Bringing your best self to work every day as an essential part of our positive work environment
  • Maintaining expertlevel skill in current and emerging courseware authoring and learning solution tools and participating in professional development courses and conferences annually to build awareness of trends and innovations

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelors degree in relevant program (e.g. education English human resources organizational development information technology business etc. or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 8 years experience leading complex SAP (ECC or S/4HANA) training programs
  • Minimum 5 years experience as an instructional designer
  • Demonstrated understanding of the significance of an integrated change management approach which incorporates business readiness communications and learning
  • Business knowledge acquired through crossfunctional exposure including Finance Manufacturing Supply Chain and/or Logistics
  • Experience in managing team and team member performance in a hybrid work environment
  • Experience in designing ERP curricula
  • Experience in designing learning experiences and enabling performance support
  • Experience in evaluating learning effectiveness
  • Experience in training schedule and infrastructure management including training environment and logistics
  • Demonstrated ability in system and business process analysis
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with a detail and deadlineoriented focus
  • Proficiency in managing to a project plan
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and as part of leadership and delivery teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Expertlevel proficiency in MS Office (i.e. Word PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Advanced understanding of SharePoint functionality and potential for supporting learning architecture deliverables development and sharing
  • Advanced proficiency in courseware authoring and learning solution tools e.g. Articulate 360 Vyond

As part of their duties the incumbent will communicate and collaborate in English both orally and in writing with colleagues or other stakeholders in Quebec and the rest of Canada North and South America the UK and Australia.

The following are considered assets:

  • Proficiency in business process writing software
  • Dairy manufacturing distribution or CPG industry experience
  • Knowledge of LMS / TMS software
  • French language skills
  • Certification as a training development professional (e.g. CTDP)
