Primary Purpose Of Position
The primary responsibilities for this position include teaching undergraduate and graduate Sociology courses conducting research student advising student mentoring and recruitment curriculum development conducting scholarly activities and other activities associated with teaching and research. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to engaging in program development program assessment submitting proposals for external funding and service to the Department College and University as needed. This position is expected to be hired at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level based on education and experience.
Minimum Requirements
Ph.D. in Sociology is required.
Preferred Years Experience Skills Training Education
Evidence of research productivity and extramural funding are preferred. Areas of expertise are open and we encourage all qualified candidates to apply although expertise in the following areas is desirable: Medical Sociology: Community and Development Sociology: Environmental Justice and Human Health: Racial Ethnic and Gender Inequality
