You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe University of Akron School of Law will hire an Assistant Professor to begin teaching in fall 2026. Both entry-level and lateral candidates are encouraged to apply. The committee is interested in candidates with a commitment to excellence in teaching as well as scholarly distinction or great promise as demonstrated by strong early scholarship and a thoughtful agenda for future work. The assistant professor will teach Contracts UCC Sales and other courses to be determined. Our strategic focus areas are (1) Respect and Understanding (2) Intellectual Property Law; and (3) Advocacy and Practical Training. We invite applications from candidates who can help fulfill curricular needs and support our strategic goals.
Required Qualifications: A JD or equivalent law degree; potential for successful scholarship and teaching; citizenship or immigration status allowing long-term full-time academic work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications: Potential for outstanding scholarship teaching and service.
