Job Description
The Department of Pediatrics Division of Pediatric Hospitalist Medicine at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in New Orleans is seeking an academic Pediatric Hospitalist to join our hospitalist group. Academic appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics (non-tenure clinical track); appointment level will be determined by the candidates credentials and academic achievements. The selected candidate will join a busy hospital-based practice located at Manning Family Childrens. Qualified applicants must be board certified/board eligible (or equivalent) in Pediatric Hospital Medicine and be licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana and credentialed with all required entities before start date. This is a challenging and interesting position involving teaching responsibilities with medical students residents and fellows. Faculty members are expected to contribute to the advancement of scholarly or educational activities within the Department. There are abundant opportunities for educational clinical translational quality and outcomes research initiatives across the health sciences center. Manning Family Childrens is a 263-bed not-for-profit pediatric medical center offering a comprehensive range of services for children from birth to 21 years with more than 600 pediatric providers solely dedicated to the care of kids.
