Job Description
Creighton Manning a GAI Consultants Inc. company is seeking a Junior Engineer 02 years of experience) to complement our existing Engineering staff in our Site/Civil Traffic Transit Highway Structures and Construction Inspection Groups. The successful Junior Engineer candidate will be based out of our Albany NY office.
About This Position:
Responsibilities may include depending on your field of expertise:
- Field work
- Traffic engineering and analysis of roadways and signals
- Structural analysis and design of bridges
- Design and layout of project components in 2d and 3d
- Preparing construction drawings and documents
- Field observation for adherence to construction plans and specifications
- Report writing and cost estimating
Essential Job Duties:
- Primary data collector in the field.
- Perform specific portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
- Perform standard computations or basic engineering analysis.
- Maintain equipment inventory.
- Attend project meetings with senior staff.
- Responsible for basic QA/QC tasks; review of own work as well as reviewing the work of Junior Engineers and Technicians.
- Provide limited supervision to technicians.
- Coordination with municipalities/agencies regarding background volumes accident data signal timings etc.
- Develop and analyze trip generation and volume.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program or an approved equivalent.
- 02 years of experience
- Proficiency with either AutoCAD or Microstation Inroads AutoTurn Synchro Vissim and GIS software a plus but not required.
