For the Equipment Controller position at Terex based in Watertown SD we are looking for someone with intellectual curiosity an analytical mindset who enjoys driving continuous improvements financially and strategically through systems skills (particularly excel modeling) and process improvements. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys determining strategic objectives collaboratively is passionate about wanting to understandbusiness drivers and processes that helps to execute those objectives while developing financial analytics/tools in how we better measure and understand business performance.The successful candidate will have an ability to thrive in an environment of rapid change; work effectively within crossfunctional teams; will be highly resourceful; able to deliver strong results; have a passion for operational excellence and possess a strong set of communication and analytical skills.

What youll do

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the monthly and quarterly close process for operational review and accuracy
  • Monthly / Quarterly site reporting including preparation of key monthly operational business summaries. Compares performance with operating plans and standards and covering key performance indicators. Provides reports and ensures detailed explanations of variances to budgets forecasts or prior year
  • Department spending tracking review and communications to management timely
  • Prepare and assist with forecasts and budgets as required including being able to forecast a full balance sheet departmental expenses and completion of supplemental information
  • Assist with data input tracking or reporting with weekly scorecards working capital updates cost trackers etc.
  • Be a key player in the S&OP process understanding sales pipeline / demand opportunities through to production controls scheduling and financial planning
  • Prepares sales and margin reporting / analysis on machines transactions
  • Preparation of month end inventory and order backlog reporting
  • Develop compliance framework ensuring accurate revenue recognition inventory verifications and overall site compliance; includes SOX testing reporting and remediation when applicable
  • Assist with Inventory review including costing excess and obsolete and safety stock assumptions with the goal to minimize and meet AOP Targets
  • Support GBS finance partners on cash collection process and manage overall Net Working Capital performance of the site to meet targets
  • Creates templates as needed in support of the role. Use of Oracle ERP GL Wand and One Stream tools to Excel for data Analysis
  • Supports the development of consistent factbased decision making across the business CapEx review with payback analysis
  • Support due diligence and tracking of new products
  • Support sales and factory teams on management of price lists and CPQ functionality; support pricing decisions / discount approvals
  • Inventory Receiving and upkeep of machine standard costs analysis of cost variances and costing improvements to enhance product contribution analysis
  • Direct support to Finance Director with various other projects or ad hoc reporting as needed


What youll bring

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
  • 5 to 10 years of experience including managerial roles in accounting and management reporting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in large multinational corporation would be advantageous
  • Strong working knowledge of internal control processes and SarbanesOxley
  • Leadership skills and executive presence to be able to influence senior management team
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills to complement creative outofthebox thinking
  • Must have advanced Microsoft Office Products experience specifically with Excel Outlook Power Point and Word as well as the ability to learn corporate ERP system
  • Adaptable selfmotivated and influential team player who can drive change while leading by example
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills relationship building skills and demonstrated ability to work across functional areas and levels of management
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Quick learner and strong sense of natural curiosity
  • Proven track record of attaining organizational and personal objectives
  • Willing to travel occasionally

Salary: The compensation range for this position is $108000 $148500 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education work experience certifications etc.
