Controller
Reports to: President
Position Summary
Marglen Industries is an established organization dedicated to helping the global community thru reutilizing plastics. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivatedControllerto join our team and oversee all aspects of financial management including corporate accounting regulatory and financial reporting budget and forecast preparation and development of internal control policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing A/R A/P GL Cost Accounting Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Perform accounting functions inIQMS / Delmia system.
- Manage cash projections and banking tasks weekly and daily.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role (5 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and proficient Excel.
- Exceptional analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Flexible and able to work cooperatively with all levels of employees
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to operate independently
